What is New Hampshire? is a set of facts and simple descriptive text describing where New Hampshire is, where we have been, and what challenges we may face based on our analysis. What is New Hampshire? was originally an annual publication of the New Hampshire Center for Public Policy Studies. When CPPS, unfortunately, ceased operations in 2018, it handed off this publication to the Carsey School. LEARN MORE
New Hampshire

The Carsey School of Public Policy’s home is at the University of New Hampshire. We enjoy a rich relationship with organizations across the state as we provide research and programs that build knowledge about families and economic development as well as civic engagement programs that work to strengthen communities across the state.
The Carsey School of Public Policy is working with the Neil and Louise Tillotson Fund of the New Hampshire Charitable Foundation to conduct three research projects designed to examine the attitudes and experiences of Coös County residents as the region is challenged following the closing of area paper mills. The Coös Youth Study is a ten-year research project exploring young people’s decisions about their educational and job opportunities in Coös County and their plans to stay in Coös or move away. LEARN MORE
This project focuses on the counties and states of Vermont, New Hampshire and Maine. The websites enable users to access up-to-date data and historical trends they may need to create tables and graphs that can be used in reports, proposals and presentations. LEARN MORE
