October 15, 2024: Carsey's Online Master's Programs

Jolan Rivera, Program Director of the Master in Community Development (MCD) program at Carsey, discussed the three online degree programs at the Carsey school and how they are designed to fit the busy schedules of working professionals. He was joined by the UNH Online Student Success team who discussed the support resources available to online students at UNH.

December 7, 2023: Carsey's Online Master in Community Development (MCD) Program
 

Jolan Rivera, Program Director of the MCD program at Carsey, discusses this unique degree program and how it can help advance the careers of professionals working in nonprofit, community finance, government, and similar industries. He was joined by MCD alum Sophia Ashooh who discussed her experience with the program, the online format, and where she is now!

November 16, 2023: Carsey's Online Master in Global Conflict & Human Security (GCHS) Program
 

Melinda Negron-Gonzales, Program Director of the Global Conflict & Human Security program at Carsey, discussed the unique qualities and opportunities of the program and how it can help advance the careers of those passionate about humanitarian and peace-building efforts. She was joined by GCHS alum Nishanth Arulappan. A medical doctor working with Doctors Across Borders, he discussed his experiences in the program, why he chose to pursue it, and how he uses it in his career.

October 26, 2023: Carsey's Master in Public Policy (MPP) Program
 

Carolyn Arcand, Program Manager of the Public Policy program at Carsey, discussed the unique qualities and opportunities of the program and how it can help advance the careers of those passionate about policy leadership. She was joined by MPP alum Julia Vieira. Now a community development manager for Manatee County, Florida, she discussed her experiences in the program, how she took advantage of opportunities, and how she landed in her current role.

October 5, 2023: Carsey's Online Master of Public Administration (MPA) Program
 

Carolyn Arcand, Program Manager of the online public administration program at Carsey, discussed the unique qualities and opportunities of the program and how it can help advance the careers of those passionate about policy implementation. She was joined by current public administration student Matt Harris. Matt discussed his experience in the program, how he balances a master's and a full time job, what he's learned, and how he likes it. 

February 7, 2023: Discover Carsey’s Community Engagement and Real-World Application Opportunities
 

New Hampshire Listens' Co-founder, Michele Holt-Shannon was joined by Jess Carson, Research Assistant Professor with the Carsey School. Michele and Jess spoke about the opportunities available to not only Carsey students, but undergrads across UNH interested in engaging with the community or working with applied data and research. These opportunities include numerous Carsey Fellowship programs and events and projects with New Hampshire Listens.

March 10, 2022: Discover Carsey’s Accelerated Master’s Degrees & UNH’s Washington Center Program
 

Carsey Academic Director Dan Bromberg was joined by Paula DiNardo, Exchange Coordinator with UNH. Dan and Paula spoke about the opportunities available to UNH undergraduates interested in working and interning for government agencies, nonprofits, and similar public policy institutions. These opportunities included Carsey’s Accelerated Master’s degrees in Public Policy and Public Administration, and The Washington Center program – which connects UNH students to internships and seminars based in Washington, D.C.


Feb. 16, 2022: Scholarships, Fellowships & Financial Aid Available for Carsey Accelerated Students
 

Available to UNH undergraduates, the Accelerated Master’s programs allow students to earn both an undergraduate and graduate degree in just five years, saving thousands of dollars in tuition in the process. In this information session, Carsey’s Director of Academic Programs Dan Bromberg discusses the Accelerated Master's degrees available from the Carsey School - the Master in Public Policy and Master of Public Administration. Jan. 25, 2022: Discover the Carsey School-National Development Council Education Award
 

The NDC National Development Council is one of the most comprehensive community and economic development nonprofits in the United States. The Carsey School of Public Policy is a leading public service school based at UNH. Through a unique education partnership, graduates of the NDC’s Professional Certification program can receive up to 6 graduate-level credits (2 courses) toward the Carsey School’s Master in Community Development (MCD) program. Plus, Carsey MCD students are eligible to receive a reduced rate on NDC Professional Certification courses. You can learn more about this education award online
