This graduate-level, 3-credit course is offered online over a 16-week term and provides an introduction to the essential aspects of public and non-profit administration: Critical concepts and theoretical bases; operational nature of public and non-profit administration; and the contributions of key scholars and practitioners to the study and understanding of public and non-profit administration.

Course: Foundations and Theories of Public Administration, PA 800 (1ON), earn 3 graduate-level course credits which can be applied to any Carsey graduate degree program.

Dates: August 31 — December 14, 2020

Delivery: This course is offered as an online program — hours of instruction will be arranged.

Pre-Requisites: Bachelor's Degree – Note: while a transcript submission is not required, you will need to have earned a bachelor’s degree to enroll in graduate level course to earn academic credit. If you do not have a bachelor’s degree, contact Sanjeev.Sharma@unh.edu and attach your resume. People working in the field can request a waiver of the bachelor’s degree requirement.

Cost: NH residents $1711; Non-residents $1876 (cost includes: tuition, $20 registration fee, $15 Student Services Fee, and $26 technology fee)

Dan Bromberg is an Associate Professor of Public Administration in the Carsey School of Public Policy and the Department of Political Science at the University of New Hampshire. He is the Director of Academic Programs for the Carsey School of Public Policy.

Dan’s research interests include government procurement, performance management, and organizational accountability. Recent publications include Gatekeepers: How Procurement Personnel Guard against Hybrid Accountability, Pay-to-Play: An Examination of State Laws, and Body Worn Cameras and Policing: A List Experiment of Citizen Overt and True Support. He holds a Ph.D. from the School of Public Affairs and Administration at Rutgers-Newark.
