Talmira is principal of the T. L. Hill Group, an independent firm she founded in May 2001 that consults with nonprofit, public, and philanthropic institutions seeking to strengthen their social impact. The T. L. Hill Group specializes in partnerships and collaborative enterprises to improve education, youth development, and workforce development outcomes in low-income and underrepresented communities. Talmira brings over 30 years of experience in nonprofit leadership. As Senior Vice President for Community Life with The Community Builders, Inc., a Boston-based national nonprofit real estate development corporation (2012-2015), and as Director of the Association for High School Innovation (2007-2011), Talmira designed, instituted, and managed operations across national networks to achieve results with children, youth, and families. As a consultant, Talmira has facilitated numerous cross-sector and multidisciplinary initiatives led by philanthropic institutions, federal agencies, nonpartisan policy organizations, national civic organizations, and advocacy groups dedicated to achieving social justice missions in the U.S. and in economically developing countries. Since 2016, Talmira has focused on growing her consulting practice in northern New England.
