About the Segal Americorps Education Award

In addition to the education award, the $65 application fee is waived for AmeriCorps applicants.

The amount of dollar-for-dollar match depends on the total hours of service. The Carsey School would like to offer anyone serving in AmeriCorps whose FY 2025 service year was shortened by recent federal funding cuts the same Segal Education Award amounts based upon their original service contract, up to one full-time $7,395 Segal Award.

“Completing the MPA program helped me better understand how to navigate a leadership role in the non-profit/public sector. More importantly, it has helped me take the next step in my career in the public sector by building upon some of the skills and experience I already had. The program was flexible enough to fit my specific career interest, and I formed professional relationships with people I keep in touch with to this day.”
