Anna Stockman earned her Community and Environmental Planning bachelor's degree from UNH in 2020. After taking some time off for work, Anna wanted to further her education and decided to pursue a Master's in Public Administration. She credits the program for allowing a large range of flexibility with her job as a Planning Secretary for the town of Somersworth, which she has also found aligns perfectly with what she is learning within her degree. “The Public Administration field is important because it equips people with really important skills to use in any job like communication, finance, and policy. I think it can be applied to so many fields beyond what is the traditional public administration type of role. That’s why I was really drawn to the program; I didn’t just want to pigeonhole myself into one career field. I really like the versatility of it.” Anna hopes that this program will further help her reach her goal of working with a nonprofit or continuing her career in municipal government.
