Aysha Bodenhamer, PhD, is an assistant professor of Sociology in the College of Humanities and Behavioral Sciences at Radford University. Her research examines the intersection of energy, environment, and human populations. Her recent research focuses on extractive industries and contested environmental illnesses; particularly, the resurgence of black lung in central Appalachia. Aysha holds a PhD in Sociology from North Carolina State University.
