During his first 100 days in office, President Biden has been building his administration, addressing the health and economic crises, and begun to implement his agenda. Join a conversation with Rich Ashooh ’86, Ellen Fitzpatrick, Ryan Gibson, and Ella Nilsen ’13 – moderated by Carsey School Director Michael Ettlinger – as they discuss what the new administration has done and what that says about next steps.

Ellen Fitzpatrick

A professor and scholar specializing in modern American political and intellectual history, Ellen Fitzpatrick is the author and editor of eight books, including The Highest Glass Ceiling: Women's Quest for the American Presidency and the New York Times bestselling, Letters to Jackie: Condolences from a Grieving Nation and History’s Memory: Writing America’s Past, 1880-1980.


Ryan Gibson

Ryan Gibson, Postdoctoral Research Associate in Sociology, UNH

Ryan Gibson researches the psychology of race and racism, probing how individuals internalize ideas of race and how those ideas then affect our lives. Much of his work examines the intersections of race and mental health.


Ella Nilsen '13

Prior to joining Vox, Ella Nilsen interned for New Hampshire Public Radio and worked at Foster's Daily Democrat. She has also worked as a full-time reporter for The Keene Sentinel and the Concord Monitor.
