Ben Kragen
Center for Social Policy in Practice

Ben Kragen serves as a Research Scientist I in the Center for Social Policy in Practice at the University of New Hampshire’s Carsey School of Public Policy. Ben’s research examines the intersection of health, technology, and the social safety net, with a focus on supporting equitable delivery of goods and services to marginalized communities. He has a background in survey design, and regularly uses statistical models to analyze local and national datasets. He complements quantitative data analysis with qualitative research, and works closely with community stakeholders to align research aims with the goals of the communities that the research intends to serve.
Ben holds an MBA and is completing a PhD in Social Policy at The Heller School for Social Policy and Management at Brandeis University. He has extensive experience working with government agencies, community advocacy groups, hospital systems, and academic research centers to address structural issues so that individuals and communities can thrive.
