Strengthening our Communities with Strong Starts for New Hampshire Children

With the Support of the NH Endowment for Health and the NH Charitable Foundation, New Hampshire Listens worked with community-based partners to foster public engagement focused on the lives of young children and their families.  Located in eight communities in the state, they built on existing strengths and increased the capacity of communities to support early development and education.  Using a variety of public engagement tools, these local partnerships engaged parents, educators, community leaders, and residents from all walks of life in inclusive, action-oriented conversations about ways to assure optimal early development.  The engagement work drew on relevant local, state, and national data, reflect local assets and aspirations, and take into account local values in order to develop recommendations for action.
