This month, join Sean Mossey, an MPA grad and PhD candidate, to discuss how public managers can use citizen engagement to gather perspectives on the development of IT and e-government projects. Such engagement is likely to lead to higher usage and increased effectiveness. Mobile applications present a new technology that can be enhanced in such a way. This discussion outlines the advantages of mobile applications and how deliberation can be used to generate public value in their development for the purposes of municipal public services.
