    Strategy & Communications: Carsey’s Master in Public Policy
    » Wednesday, Oct. 27, 12:30 – 1 p.m.

    Michael Ettlinger, Director of the Carsey School of Public Policy, leads a discussion on the importance of strategy and communications within the world of policy analysis and development and how the Carsey School’s Master in Public Policy (MPP) prepares graduates to effectively design and communicate policies and policy changes. He’ll be joined by Kristen Grimm, President of Spitfire Strategies and a Carsey School faculty member, who teaches a class on using influence to advance public policy.

    Join us for this 30-minute information session to meet a current MPP faculty member, learn more about the MPP degree, and discover how all Carsey’s graduate degrees educate students on communication strategies!

    Entering Public Service: Carsey’s Master of Public Administration
    » Wednesday, Nov. 3, 5:30 – 6 p.m.

    Dan Bromberg, Director of Academic Programming at the Carsey School, discusses the Master of Public Administration (MPA) degree, including the MPA capstone component, as well as applying to the degree, obtaining scholarships and financial aid from the Carsey School, and qualifying for the Executive MPA program with reduced credits and tuition. Dan will interview Katherine Labrecque ‘19G, an AmeriCorps graduate and current management analyst with the Town of Lexington, Massachusetts, to discuss how the MPA’s experiential opportunities prepared her for her role in municipal government.

    The Master in Community Development for Working Professionals: Student Interview
    » Wednesday, Nov. 17, 5:30 – 6 p.m.

    Join Michael Swack, Director of the Master in Community Development (MCD) program, for a conversation about this highly versatile, entirely online master’s degree and to meet a current student. Michael will discuss the experiential components of the MCD program, including the capstone project, as well as financial aid, scholarships, and education awards available to students within the program. Then, he’ll interview MCD student Anne Lawson, CFA, an analyst with Aeris Insight Inc. responsible for analyzing community development financial institutions (CDFI) loan funds.
