How to Pay for College?
The Carsey School offers a wide range of ways to help you pay for graduate school, including:
- Education Awards (including those offered through Partnerships)
- Scholarships (including the 2021 Scholarship for Undergraduate Sustainability Award Recipients, and
- Fellowships – Available to Incoming Graduate Students and Current UNH Undergraduates

Carsey Scholarship for 2021 Sustainability Award Undergraduate Recipients
The Carsey School is proud to offer a $5,000 scholarship* to the first 5 UNH undergraduate Sustainability Award winners to apply and become accepted to one of the School’s three graduate degree programs: the Master in Public Policy, Master of Public Administration, and the Master in Community Development.

*Note that there are limitations on the total amount of programmatic scholarship available for each Carsey student so in the case of students receiving other Carsey School scholarships the additional scholarship amount may be less than $5,000.
For Master in Public Policy Students
The Carsey School offers a limited number of fellowship opportunities for Master in Public Policy (MPP) students with their first term. Student fellows work 15 hours per week while classes are in session and receive a stipend of $4,600 per-semester.

For Master in Community Development Students
The S. Melvin Rines Fellowship is a highly competitive award targeting motivated, talented, young professionals committed to making a difference on the African continent through work in financial innovation and enterprise development.
The University offers some forms of financial assistance to help Carsey School students pay for graduate school. This aid comes in the form of graduate scholarships and fellowships, awards, federal financial aid, and veteran benefits.
